BioThis is my year abroad (ya) journal. I previously had one with the username bexy_lou but 'grew out' of it. This is for my friends to know what is happening.
Austria
I'll be leaving at the end of August. I got the comenius teaching placement in a secondary school in Vienna starting on 1st Oct until end of December 07, so i will be back for christmas. I will be teaching English, along with English/American lit, films and will do arts & crafts too. So exciting!
Portugal
Hope to catch up with friends and get work for the month of January and then i will be visiting Angie at the beginning of Feb for a week in Lisbon and we will fly together from there to Rio around the 13th Feb.
Brazil
Got a place at uni, in Belo Horzionte, Minas Gerais. Will be going with Angie (aw_adiaphora), as well. The term starts at the end of Feb and goes right through to July. So i probably wont be back til around 9th July 08. We aim to fly to Rio and stay there a few days then get the bus down to Belo Horizonte, so we can we the city and will be having weekend trips around the colonial towns in Minas Gerais such as Ouro Preto. When we return to England in July 08 we hope to fly from Sao Paulo and spend a few days looking around the city before catching our flight.
After that
I may be applying for a couple of weeks work experience at a film/television place in germany as this will help with my film-making a lot. Not sure about this yet though. Then i'll be finding somewhere to live in Nottingham for my final year!
